A community fundraising effort was launched this week to raise money for much needed repairs to the Ben Vrackie hillside path. The Ben Vrackie Path Restoration Fund seeks to raise £2500 towards the work required to return the path to it's former glory.

Following sustained torrential rain in summer 2021, sections of the much-loved trail were left with a surface that was loose, uneven and at risk from damage.

The work required to repair and enhance the path is extensive and includes clearing loose material; transporting scree from across the hill via helicopter; resurfacing the existing path; and adding drainage and pitching on steeper sections to make sure the path can withstand both the elements and heavy use for many years.
