PKCT was one of three charities put forward by staff at Skipton Building Society, as part of their Community Giving Scheme. Members of the public were then able to vote for the project when they went into their local branch. PKCT’s Director, Peter Quinn, was delighted to be presented with the cheque by Graeme Webster, Customer Consultant at Skipton Building Society, in Perth on Tuesday.

Perth Wildlife Watch group is a children’s nature club run by PKCT in partnership with the Scottish Wildlife Trust, who manage the Scotland-wide network of groups. PKCT’s Discovery, Learning and Engagement Officer and volunteers who run the group have recently put the 2024 programme together and this money will greatly enhance the activities the group is able to offer, including a trip which they are hoping to arrange in the summer.

PKCT’s Discovery, Learning and Engagement Officer, Catherine Leatherland said:

We are privileged to have been nominated and supported by the staff and customers of Skipton Building Society in this way and I’d like to extend a huge thank you! Environmental education plays a big part in helping young people to connect with nature, and this donation will help us to expand the range of experiences we can offer.
