A community drop-in session was held last week in the Village Hall, where people could meet the project team, view plans and learn all about the project to make the well-loved path more accessible for everyone.

The project includes increasing the ease of access for everyday journeys within the village to various local destinations by way of a widened and improved riverside path. Once completed, the path shall be smoother and wider to accommodate shared use, including those using cycles and wheelchairs, and with improved signage to raise awareness of the upgraded route.

The project team includes Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT), volunteers from the Rannoch Paths & Open Spaces Group (RPOSG) and engineers from Cycling Scotland’s Transport Planning & Engineering Limited (TP&E). Together, they’ve worked on landowner and community consultation, feasibility, fund raising and design work for the Riverside Path and link path from the village.

It was fantastic to see so many faces at the open event in Rannoch last week. It was good to be able to engage with the community to discuss the plans and gain further support for the project. The project aims to provide greater accessibility to the village’s much-loved Riverside path. Thank you everyone who came along!

You can find information about the Rannoch Riverside All Abilities Path Project in the project’s e- newsletter, on social media and on www.ourrannoch.co.uk and PKCT's project page.
