Two sections of the Provost Walk between Ruthven Street and the Jubilee Park have already been successfully upgraded turning it from a muddy track to a modern, sealed path with benches and solar lighting.  But we would like to continue this work and upgrade the next section.

Phase Three will improve the muddy path from Coalbore Well  westwards towards the A824 to the same standard as the upgraded sections of the Provost Walk.  We will create a gradual slope suitable for walkers, cyclists and wheelchair users near to the old steps and narrow gate at the far western end of the path.  It will also create an important link between Auchterarder and Blackford, link Auchterarder into the wider path network and provide a safe off-road route from the east to the west of the town.

Working with Auchterarder Community Sports and Recreation Group we have already raised £552,100, which is 98% of the funding we need for Phase Three. This money has been secured from funders including The Allan King Charitable Trust, Fife Environment Trust, Sustrans, Auchterarder Community Trust, E.B. Scotland, Auchterarder Community Facility Fund, The Gannochy Trust and generous donations from individuals.

However we still need to secure £50,000 to reach 100% of the funding needed.  To secure the final £50,000 grant, we need to raise £5,000 'match funding'.
