Latest News Upgrades for Heritage Trail at Innerpeffray Library The paths around Scotland’s first public lending library have received an upgrade thanks to work by PKCT and a grant of £5500 from Avondale Environmental through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. The newly upgraded paths form part of a short heritage trail through the grounds of the historic library and boast stunning views across the River Earn. Speaking about the project at Innerpeffray Andy Barrie (PKCT) said: “We were delighted to work with Innerpeffray Library on the paths and interpretative signage when the heritage trail was established in 2019. It’s a fantastic landmark in a peaceful location with a rich history, and it’s great to be able to work with them again to upgrade the paths and the car park for the benefit of all visitors. Thank you to Avondale Environmental and the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund for the funding, and to Thomson Landscapes for their work on the ground.” A look at the newly upgraded path surface on the Heritage Trail at Innerpeffray Library Lara Haggerty from the Library of Innerpeffray said: “We are grateful to PKCT for their assistance in upgrading the paths and car park. Innerpeffray is enjoyed by visitors all year round and this upgrade has helped the site be as accessible as possible for our visitors so that they can appreciate the beautiful, tranquil surroundings of the library.” The Library of Innerpeffray is open from Wednesday to Saturday between March and October with the heritage trail and grounds remaining accessible outwith these times.
