Latest News PKCT Announce New Ambassadors Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT) this week revealed their first four ambassadors to help promote the work of the trust and encourage more people to enjoy the great outdoors. PKCT, which has worked on a range of access, outdoor education, and nature conservation projects since it was established in 1997, has announced Chris Tiso (CEO – Tiso Group), Rosie Baxendine (bikepacking guide), Alex Cairncross (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross), and Finlay Pringle (youth climate activist) as their new ambassadors. Speaking about the ambassador announcement Peter Quinn (Director – PKCT) said: “We’re delighted to welcome Chris, Rosie, Alex, and Finlay as ambassadors. They each bring with them a wealth of skills, experience, and knowledge, and together are the perfect messengers for our goal of getting people into the heart of the countryside and countryside into the hearts of people.” The new ambassadors, who will promote PKCT’s work online and in-person at events, were officially welcomed to the team at PKCT’s September board meeting at Dunkeld House Hotel. Welcoming the new recruits, Stephen Woollard (Chairperson – PKCT) said: “It’s fantastic to have a such an exciting group of ambassadors agree to join us. We are always striving to reach as many people as we can with positive messages about the countryside and nature conservation. With Chris’ profile within the outdoor sector, Finlay’s campaign work, Alex’s local knowledge, and Rosie’s passion for inclusion we’ll be able to reach more people across the region and beyond.” PKCT Trust Director - Peter Quinn (Left) and Chair - Stephen Woollard (right) welcome Rosie Baxendine and Finlay Pringle as ambassadors Speaking about taking on the role, Rosie Baxendine, who was named one Cycling UK’s “100 Women in Cycling” list in 2023 for her work as a bikepacking guide and advocate for inclusive cycling said: “I am really excited by this opportunity to be an ambassador for PKCT. I love Perthshire and I am always out exploring the vastly different countryside that it has, either on bike, horse, foot, or even wild swimming.
