Families enjoy Autumn Fun at Kinnoull Hill Families from across Perth and Kinross enjoyed free outdoor activities at Kinnoull Hill in late October thanks to PKCT’s “Autumn Fun” sessions. “Autumn Fun” gave children from 0-12 years old and their families, an opportunity to take part in a range of themed sessions with activities as varied as bug hunts and scavenger trails, to nature crafts and wildlife games among the autumnal colours of Kinnoull Hill Forest Park. Speaking about the success of the Autumn Fun events, Catherine Leatherland from PKCT who organised and ran the sessions said: We were delighted to see how well attended the Autumn Fun sessions were and it is always rewarding to help families spend time together in the great outdoors. We were able to offer 90 children’s spaces over the three event days, and it was nice to see some familiar faces book into other sessions after enjoying their first one. We have one event day left this year on Thursday 13 November so if you think your 6-12 year old would like to learn some survival skills, you can book your space by email to [email protected]. Alistair (4) who attended trail exploration and games session with his parents and sister said: It was really fun to be in the forest. I liked looking for leaves and pretending to be lots of animals. I also saw a robin and I helped my sister look for nuts for the hungry squirrel. Catherine added: Thank you to Forest and Land Scotland for the use of ‘The Shed’ at Kinnoull Hill, and thank you to The Gannochy Trust for all the support and funding they provide for our education and outreach activities. At PKCT we love helping to learn more about and appreciate the countryside, and we couldn’t do without the support of our partners. The final PKCT Autumn Fun sessions take place at Kinnoull Hill on Thursday 13 November. Spaces are available for those between 6-12 years old from 10:00-12:00, and from 13:00-15:00, and can be booked by emailing [email protected] Manage Cookie Preferences
