Nearly £30,000 of path upgrade works on the Common Loan path in Auchterarder are underway as of Monday, 17 July.

These works are expected to last three to four weeks and will include 360 m of new path surface, tree and hedge work and the installation of a self-closing gate, two benches, fencing above the burn and signage.

PKCT Manager Morag Watson said of the project:

“We’re very excited to be undertaking these works on the eastern side of Auchterarder, especially after opening the Provost Walk phase one upgrades at the end of June. The Common Loan path will be closed for the duration of the works period and for about a month afterwards to allow the new path to settle properly so that it is less likely to erode for all the visitors who will walk along it and admire the stunning views.”

The Common Loan upgrade is funded by the West Perthshire Recreational Facility.
