Following the announcement that the Places for Everyone funding scheme will close by the end of March 2025, many of our active travel projects face an uncertain funding future.

Administered by Sustrans on behalf of Transport Scotland,  and funded by the Scottish Government, Places for Everyone has contributed towards concept and design costs for several completed PKCT projects over the years, as well as current active travel projects from Stanley to Luncarty, and Bridge of Earn to Newburgh, both of which are ongoing and now face a funding gap.

While the decision of Transport Scotland to bring Places for Everyone to a close, and to concentrate future funding awards to local authorities rather than charities or community groups is disappointing, we remain committed to these projects and will work to identify alternative means to complete these much needed routes where we can.
