This £260,000 project, completed earlier this year, continues the good works of Phase One by resolving the challenging gradients to create an active travel route, suitable for walkers, cyclists and wheelchairs.

All are welcome to join us for a celebration of what has already been achieved and highlight the exciting next phase of the upgrade which we hope will get underway in the autumn.

We will be gathering just along from the start of the new path at the Public Park, off Western Road - sometimes known as the Jubilee or Primrose Park.  Following the ribbon cutting there will be the opportunity for a gentle stroll along the 576 metre section of new and upgraded path, to where it joins Phase One, with an opportunity to view the adjoining 1100 metre Phase Three section of path which we hope will be upgraded next.  Once back at the park, we can enjoy some refreshments and take the opportunity to meet with those responsible for the success of this project.

THIS EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND BUT PLEASE BOOK IN SO WE KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE COMING.

Please note that parking is restricted at the public park, so if coming by car, please car share where possible and use alternative locations to park, to avoid blocking entry to the recycling centre.
