Crathes Castle

The annual NTCS Networking Day for site owners, managers, staff and supporters, will take place on Wednesday 6th June 2018 at Crathes Castle, Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

This is the networking event for all those concerned with the care of Scotland’s finest tree collections, and the issues and opportunities these sites face. Expert speakers will share their experiences of funding and delivering effective management plans and wrestling with the unique problems posed by aging tree avenues.

In the care of the National Trust for Scotland since 1952, today Crathes contains one of the Trust's most diverse plant collections, as well as some of the oldest hedging and topiary to be found anywhere in Scotland.  The day will include the opportunity to tour the grounds in the company of the Head Gardner and experience the garden’s stunning tree collection, topiary, and wider landscape.

The event is free to attend but places are limited so must be pre-booked.

Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.
