Choose us as your Co-op local cause

The countryside around Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire has been chosen as a Co-op Cause!

Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT) hopes to improve access to the countryside around Aberfeldy by improving signage and making paths more accessible.

PKCT will work closely with the Upper Tay Paths Group, a community-led group that focuses on maintaining and improving paths around Aberfeldy, and the wider community to carry out volunteer projects aimed at improving the local paths in the Aberfeldy area.

Andy Barrie, PKCT’s Strategic Routes Officer, who will be managing the access and improvement works, said:

The countryside around Aberfeldy has is absolutely breath-taking and includes wonders like the Birks and the River Tay.

The core path network around the town is also a fantastic community asset used by local people and visitors that needs continuous care and improvement.

We will work with the Upper Tay Paths Group to improve paths and increase accessibility to the countryside for everyone to enjoy.
