Come along on to Scone Palace as it is visited by some Jacobite clansmen.
The Alba Adventure Company will perform a living history presentation explaining about these fearsome Jacobites warriors and their fight to restore the Stuart Kings to the throne and the infamous rebellions of 1715 and 1745. Dressed in traditional costumes of this time and demonstrating weapons they would have used, this light hearted but informative presentation is designed to appeal to both young and old.

Contenders are given seven empty fruit wine bottles to throw at a target, “The Rock”, which hangs from a frame, with the object of breaking as many as possible over The Rock. Craigvinean - Gaelic for `crag of the goats`- is one of Scotland's oldest managed forests. The forest was created by the 3rd Duke of Atholl in the 18th century with larch seed brought from the Alps.

Coming to Scotland for the first time this September, this womens only cycling event is taking place at Scone Palace and welcomes women of all cycling abilities with a 20km race, 40km and a longer challenege course of 52km - 82km. A scootathalon is also taking place for boys and girls aged between 4 and 8 which involves a scoot, bike and run challenge.

The Scottish Crannog Centre is a 5 star visitor and educational centre and features a unique reconstruction of an early Iron-Age loch dwelling.
Come along to our special evening event dressed in costume and help us to celebrate Samhain, the ancestor of Halloween. Bring a carved lantern, join our torch lit procession through loch-side woods, watch our fire sculptures burn in ceremonial sacrifice and enjoy storytelling, burn incense, fire juggling, soup, apple dookin` and more.

The ever-popular Galloway Antiques Fair will be making a welcome return to Scone Palace in November.
Nationally known antiques and fine art dealers will be displaying items for sale including furniture, porcelain, glass, silver, jewellery, mirrors, sculpture, oriental rugs and carpets; and much more from early Georgian through to the 1930s.
