Ancient Tree Hunt

Biggest beech tree in Scotland found on Ballathie Estate in Big Tree Country © PKCT

Spring is here and the sun is peeking out from behind the clouds ... what better time to leave the sofa behind, step outside and take part in the Ancient Tree Hunt?

The Ancient Tree Hunt already has records of more than 63,000 ancient, veteran and notable trees and if you enter your town or village name, and tick the ancient trees box, you can see all the fantastic trees already recorded in your area.

The project hopes to eventually record 100,000 ancient, veteran and noble trees throughout the UK, and Big Tree Country is an obvious place for tree hunters to look.

Help the ATH reach its target and get fit at the same time.
